Enfold a free hand drawn typeface

This is Enfold, a free hand drawn typeface by me! I wanted to create a simple, readable and balanced typeface with a handwritten human touch. Enfold should give your designs a warm and friendly feeling.

A wanted a polite kind of hand drawn font for my personal work. I kind of got sick of drawing out these letters over and over again in different pieces that I was working on, so I put my arse in gear to create this font.

I created this font the old fashioned way of drawing it out, scanning it in, cleaning it up in Photoshop, converting it to a vector with illustrator and then finally putting it into glyphs app and exporting the {typeface, font}. It does take a while to do this so its quite time-consuming and boring but at least I have it now.

I hope you like it, and if you want to send me any of your creations please do, I love to see what people create.

Enfold usage

Feel free to download and use for you non-commercial work. A commercial option is available for $2. I have only tested this {typeface, font} on the mac as I don’t have a pc. The font includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation marks, symbols and a few marks. In total it has 134 glyphs, so it by no means includes everything, it covers the basics.

The font also is available in two flavors .otf and .ttf, for pc users I would recommend installing the .ttf.

Download Enfold below

P.S. The pay with a tweet option needs to open in a new window, it also needs javascript and a browser that works (pop-up blockers will kill it stone dead). If you don’t have a working browser or twitter account you can buy the font below for £2 with 134 glyphs.

This font is no longer for sale

Please note: Although this font is free, it can not be distributed by individuals, bulletin board systems, FTP sites, WWW sites, etc., without prior permission.

That is all.
